Parks & Camping

Private citizens may reserve the upper level shelter at Almon Park and the Judy Swank Shelter at Perch Lake Park for private gatherings such as family reunions and weddings.

The rental fee for the shelters is $100 + $100 security deposit. If the facilities are left clean and undamaged, the $100 deposit is refunded.

Almon Park

The Almon Park facility offers an open-air shelter, picnic tables, grills, restrooms and a sports field. 

Perch Lake Park

The Perch Lake Park Facility offers a heated enclosed shelter as well as an open-air shelter, electricity, fireplace, picnic tables, grills, and restrooms.

Enterprise Campground

The Enterprise Campground is located within the Oneida County Forest approximately 11 miles south of Rhinelander on Shingle Mill Rd. The campground is accessible via the Enterprise ATV trail or via Shingle Mill Rd. There are 11 campsites with grills, fire rings and picnic tables. Restrooms and hand pump wells are also provided. Fees are $15/night per site and are payable by self-registration.

The campground is open from May 22 until December 1.

Remote Camping

Dispersed Camping – County Forest

Oneida County allows individuals to remote camp within the County Forest. A permit is required and can be obtained from the Oneida County Forestry Office.

Cost of a permit is $20.00 and is limited to 14 consecutive days of camping. Please refer to the Dispersed Camping Permit for additional regulations regarding dispersed camping within Oneida County.
